Are $100 premimium on GAE the new benchmark?

Are the $60-$100 premiums on GAE's the new norm? Do you expect the premium to remain this high even if gold drops lower or runs higher?

Or is it simply a supply and demand issue and if the mint ramps up production we will see a return of the lower premiums?

You better belive that premium is going to stick and climb higher........

In the face of decreased prodution by miners, Mints not being able to keep up with demand and General fear that we are in meltdown.

How can the spreads NOT rocket higher.

For what it's worth, I had a problem with the reports that popped up early this month stating that the Mint was ceasing production of the fractional GAEs, and just got off of the phone with my rep's office complaining that I believed that action to be illegal. Bottom line is that the aide called the Mint while I was on hold, and came back saying that "the Mint said that there are thousands available".

So, for sure there is not shortage of fractional coins at the source.. if that is accurate.
This is only slightly relevant to the topic, but I wanted to throw that out.

And ask (while I'm at it) is anyone having difficulty finding fractional GAEs?
